In the early part of the 1990’s there was a serious shortage of suppliers and competitors in the wheelchair  and mobility aids market in South Africa. This meant that innovation and new product development was very slow limiting the amount of products available to the disabled, sick and elderly.

With more than 30 years of combined experience in the market at the time, the directors of Medop CC decided to start the company in 1996 to provide alternative options to the mobility market, with the focus on service and to change people’s lives for the better.

‘”Breaking boundaries” is the intent of Medop CC by providing wheelchairs and other quality mobility products at affordable prices with back up service and warranties in order to improve the livelihood of those facing mobility challenges.
